There are very few people in this world that would star struck me. It takes a special type of celebrity for me to truly support not only their brand message but lifestyle choices. Kat Von D has always been that type of person to me. Not only does she pursue her interests, no matter how quirky she takes pride in her company and social impact. Every single one of her products reflects who she is as a person, and what she expects from a product.

 

The Shade + Light pallet had been on my wish list since the day I caught wind of it on YouTube. I had just been exposed to the extreme contour trend and became nostalgic, for the techniques mirrored those used in my theater production days. Implementing contouring & highlighting into my full makeup routine was a breeze with this pallet. All six colors, three contour and three highlight, blend seamlessly with each other, giving you the freedom to create your everyday look to something more dramatic. I plan on slowly testing out other Kat Von D products, hoping to replace some of my stagnant makeup staples.
